Yes, decided at last to upgrade from Sabayon 3.3 to 3.5 Loop1 and, at the same time, to take the plunge with the new Entropy Binary Package Manager. Had to run revdep-rebuild
afterwards to repair some broken dependencies; but otherwise went smoothly.
Having, over the years and on various machines, used Redhat (starting with 5.1), Mandrake (and, later, Mandriva), SuSe, Ubuntu and Kubuntu, DreamLinux, Mepis, Linux Mint, Knoppix, Gentoo, and Sabayon, it’s with the last of these that, since first installing some 9 or 10 months ago, I’ve finally found the dream distro.
If you want a “bleeding edge distro” and are ready to take my recommendation, download Sabayon from:
