  • PageFlakes
    A Web 2.0 equivalent of the old Yahoo (etc) start page, this is a highly customisable Ajax-based personal organiser with all the expected standard tools: address book, Google search, to-do and task lists, clock and calender, weather, Gmail, and dictionary. Customisation of content is managed through the addition to your pages of RSS feeds and ‘flakes’ (CMS-like modules).
  • NetVibes
    Like PageFlakes, much of the style and functionality of the customisable web ’start page’. Content modules include Gmail and Yahoo mail, web search (Google, Yahoo, IceRocket, and Wikipedia), calender, weather, web 2.0 apps / APIs such as de.licio.us, Flickr and Writely, a notepad, 1GB document storage, and of course RSS feeds.
  • Zoho Planner
    calender, appointments and to-do lists with reminders, blogging, tagging, and sharing of pages with named others or publishing to the world.
  • StikiPad
    Personal (blog-like) wiki with tags and tag search.
  • EyeOS
    This one is worthy of special note. Not just a personal organiser but an impressively complete (and fully customisable / themable) virtual desktop with a good set of web-based applications (text editor / simple word-processor, calender, address book, calculator, skickies, message centre, virtual web browser, chat, audio player, a simple spreadsheet, and a half dozen games. The only core app that’s missing is a fully featured word processor that will allow import and export of .doc, .odt, and .sxw files and the saving of documents to at least OpenOffice.org and MS Word.
